For over a quarter of a century, the Demon of Death Valley has won practically every accolade in the company, including World Championships, a Royal Rumble victory, and the most incredible streak in WrestleMania history.
Since debuting at the 1990 Survivor Series, the Deadman has had thousands of matches with the company, with plenty of them being instant classics.
He has also revolutionized such demonic bouts like the Hell In A Cell match, as well as the Inferno match alongside his equally demonic brother, Kane.
Here are 6 matches featuring The Undertaker that you can’t afford to miss.
#6 Undertaker Vs. Hulk Hogan (Survivor Series 1991)
In his first year in the WWF, The Undertaker created a path of total destruction. Defeating superstar after superstar, it was only a matter of time before the undefeated monster faced off against the patriotic champion, Hulk Hogan.
Despite an early dominant showing by the deadman, the Hulkster took control, channeling the power and belief of all his Hulkamaniacs to turn the tide against the Lord of Darkness.
However, with the help of his creatures of the night (as well as a Steel Chair armed Ric Flair), the Deadman captured his first WWF Championship.
Whilst the reign would last merely days, before dropping the title back to Hogan at ‘This Tuesday In Texas’, it was the first glimpse of the true unstoppable power of the Phenom.
#5 Undertaker Vs. Kane (WrestleMania 14)
By late 1997, the Undertaker’s long-time manager Paul Bearer had not only turned on his client, but promised a shocking truth: that Kane was alive, and was hellbent on facing his brother.
So when Kane debuted at the first Hell In A Cell match (a match just as worthy as a spot on this list), many thought a battle between the two was inevitable.
Instead, the Deadman refused to fight back, vowing he would never strike his own flesh and blood.
It took months of torment, and nearly being burned by his brother to change the Deadman’s mind, but the two faced off at WrestleMania 14 in a true battle of behemoths.
It took 3 tombstones to drop his brother, but the Undertaker showed who ruled the family, and would do so again 6 years later at WrestleMania 20.
#4 Undertaker Vs. Triple H (WrestleMania 28)
At WrestleMania 27, Triple H hoped to do what his best friend Shawn Michaels had been unable to do: defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania, and break the 18-0 winning streak.
The Game failed to do so but did get a big win over the Phenom, leaving the Undertaker unable to leave of his own free will.
Incensed, the Deadman returned a year later, demanding a match against the Game, to right the wrong of last year.
Taking the match to the next level, the contest was held inside Hell In A Cell, with Shawn Michaels as guest referee.
After a true monstrous battle, the Undertaker was able to vanquish the Game once again, though the two will face off once more at WWE Super Show-Down.
#3 The 2007 Royal Rumble Match
Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker are two names that always come up when people discuss the greatest wrestlers of all time.
With so many classic matches between the two (including two WrestleMania bouts) it was difficult to decide on just one.
But when these two superstars were the last two in the 2007 Royal Rumble, fans were in for a treat.
The pair wrestled for over 10 minutes together and showed why they are two of the greatest.
Whilst the Phenom was victorious, Shawn showed that he still had plenty left in his tank, before retiring to the Undertaker three years later.
#2 Undertaker Vs. Brock Lesnar (WrestleMania XXX)
When you think of The Undertaker, eventually talk will turn to the Streak. For over 20 years, the historic series of wins was seemingly unbreakable.
But at WrestleMania 30, the beast Brock Lesnar did just that, snapping the Deadman’s streak at 21-1.
Unfortunately, the match quality isn’t great, as the Undertaker was concussed early into the match.
Despite that, this is a list of Undertaker matches you must see, and the end of the historic Streak is something you must see.
#1 Undertaker Vs. Mankind (King of the Ring 1998)
A match that, over 20 years later, has never been replicated, the infamous Hell in a Cell match at King of the Ring didn’t just define the Undertaker, it defined an era.
Fans already knew Mankind as a superstar ready to have his body punished in order to win, with more knowledgeable fans perhaps knowing of his death matches in Japan, as Cactus Jack.
But few could’ve predicted mere minutes in, that Mankind would be thrown off the roof of the hellish structure, crashing to the tables below.
The moment shocked fans then, and it shocks fans now. And if things weren’t crazy enough, Mick Foley would later return to the ring, but come up short against the Deadman.
It is a match that is synonymous with both men, and definitely a must-see.
