With that being said and Rousey already decimating half of The Raw roster, the move makes sense and would probably help the company gain big name advertisers for Smackdown Live Of course the final decision is ultimately up to WWE and what they think is best for business, but one has to imagine that this is a pretty easy one to make.
In the end, it might be best good for some superstars and could again be the beginning of Smackdown Live taking its place a the A show, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be causalities when all is said and done. In fact, these five superstars probably stand to lose the most if this deal is finalized.
#5 Natayla
WWE has hinted several times at a title match between Ronda Rousey and her best friend, Natayla, but the company has yet to follow up on it as of yet. Of course WWE once again had The Queen of Hearts come to Rousey’s aid to help fend off an attack by Jax but WWE seems more interested in using them as a pair than opponents.
Unfortunately for Natayla, that likely means that unless WWE chooses to do the match before Rousey leaves for Smackdown Live, which really robs her of a very high profile match. it also robs the fans of a storyline conclusion that WWE has been seemingly building to for awhile and that makes it all the disheartening to see.
#4 Sasha Banks and Bayley
These women deserved better.
With that being said and barring some kind of bizarre last minute booking swerve, it looks like Sasha Banks and Bayley are going to have to wait quite a while longer before getting their hands on Ronda Rousey. Of course of lot of that has to do with how the company has made Bayley and Sasha into joke fodder, but its still sad that the dream match will have to wait.
Think about it! What better way to get these two talented horse women back on track than to put them up against the baddest women on the planet. What makes the fact that WWE hasn’t done this yet all the more confusing is the fact that both of these women were former champions, which only makes the match seem that much more logical.
In the end, its a dream match that likely won’t be happening for some time and if they do, it will likely require Bayley and Sasha Banks to be moved to Smackdown Live. Unfortunatley for Banks and Bayley however, they have never stepped foot on the blue brand after the brand split, which means they likely never will!
#3 Asuka
WWE has finally started to push Asuka after months and months of lackluster booking, but will all that change once Ronda Rousey comes to the blue brand. While that might seem a little ridiculous, especially since the deal wouldn’t happen until next year, one has to remember that Vince McMahon has already given up on Asuka before.
In fact, it was WrestleMania 34, where Vince McMahon reportedly gave up on Asuka and decided to have her year long winning streak come to an end at the hands of Charlotte Flair If nothing else, that is a great indication that Asuka will be only further lost in the shuffle once Ronda Rousey arrive and may not be taken seriously again for quite some time.
Unfortunately for Asuka, that likely means getting lost in the shuffle once the baddest women on the planet arrives and while it may eventually result in the dream match that everyone wanted, she will will most likely come up short against Rousey every single time.
#2 Monday Night Raw
What a loss for Monday Night Raw.
In fact, between Raw’s sub par tag team division, their troubling title picture right now and the fact that Roman Reigns is currently out with Leukemia, it seems like Raw is in a bad state right now. Unfortunately for the red brand, all that is going to be amplified if they end up losing Ronda Rousey to Smackdown Live.
Not only does it put The women’s division in compete disrepair if she ends up leaving , especially since Rousey was the one that the red brand has been developed around over the last couple of months , it also takes away a level of star power from the show that they desperately need right now.
In the end, Raw has taken a lot of losses over the last couple of months and losing Rousey might be the start of the red brand not being the a show anymore. It could even serve as a complete leveler for both brands and maybe even end up putting them on equal footing in the eyes of the fans.
#1 Becky Lynch and Charlotte
Let’s be honest her.
While Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair might be on the top of The Smackdown Live mountain right now, they are both going to be playing second fiddle to Rousey once she arrives on the blue brand. Not only is that obvious by Rousey’s undefeated streak in WWE so far, but also by how much the company seems to not want her to lose.
Of course it makes sense that WWE would want to do that, especially since a loss in WWE will diminish Rousey’s drawing power moving forward, but its still a bad situation for whoever ends up taking loses to her to be fair, that doesn’t mean Rousey isn’t doing a great job of making others look strong in defeat, but Rousey herself remains untouchable.
In the end, the writing is on the wall and WWE will likely level anyone in the company’s way of making Rousey Smackdown live women’s champion at some point in the near future. Unfortunately for top stars like Charlotte and Lynch, that means playing second fiddle in a women’s division that they absolutely built brick by brick.
