This now marks the second child of a WWE Superstar that Lashley has targeted in recent weeks. Lashley’s first target was Gage Goldberg and his father, Bill Goldberg. The WWE Hall of Famer was able to exact some revenge for this at Crown Jewel last month.
Rey Mysterio noted last night that Dominik suffered a neck strain as part of the match and it was clear that the former World Champion would be looking for revenge.
If this is Lashley’s new motive in WWE, there are several other children of Superstars that the former World Champion can target next. Let’s take a look at seven:
#7. Charlie Dempsey son of WWE NXT General manager William Regal
Charlie Dempsey is a newcomer to WWE on the NXT UK brand and so far the company has been keeping it under wraps that he is William Regal’s son. He signed with WWE back in January and has already been able to make an impact.
He has even undergone a name change which ensures that he can’t be linked back to his father. The current NXT star has only been wrestling for around three years after making his debut in 2018 before traveling the world and even joining New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Regal has a certain amount of pull in WWE and his son has been able to join the company as part of NXT UK, which is one of the company’s smaller brands at present.
Given how well-known Regal is and the fact that he could be going into the Hall of Fame this year, there could be an on-screen storyline with Lashley which would allow the former WWE Champion to add his son to his list.
There are many second-generation stars in WWE at present, but Dempsey is relatively unknown and would work well in this story.
#6. Roman Reigns - Son of WWE Hall of Famer Sika
Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley have been teasing a feud on WWE TV for months. The two heavyweights are currently on separate brands but given that Survivor Series will see both men in the same place, it could be the perfect place for an ambush.
It’s unclear what Lashley’s current storyline is and if it is to attack the sons of WWE Superstars then Roman Reigns is one of the biggest and most well-known. The Tribal Chief is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Sika, who is one half of The Wild Samoans.
The current Universal Champion already has a target on his back and since many believe that Lashley should have been moved over to SmackDown, this would be the perfect way to stake his claim to the brand.
Whilst Reigns has several challengers for his title on SmackDown at present, Lashley is a wasted talent. A move over to the blue brand could reignite his career. Now that MVP has made his return, the sky is the limit for The All Mighty, and attacking the biggest star in the company is the best way to make a statement.
#5. Brooks Jensen - Son of former WWE Tag Team Champion Bull Buchanan
Bull Buchanan is best remembered for his reign as one half of the Tag Team Champions alongside The Godfather whilst he was part of WWE. Buchanan was also part of Right To Censor alongside The Goodfather, before he was released from the company in 2003.
Like many other wrestlers on this list, Buchanan’s short career in the spotlight inspired his son to join the family business and he has recently signed with WWE under the name Brooks Jensen.
Jensen signed for the company earlier in the year and made his NXT debut back in September when he teamed up with John Briggs in a losing effort against Imperium. Jensen, much like several other second-generation stars who have made their way to WWE in recent years, hasn’t yet been linked to his father.
As previously noted, if Lashley is looking to go after second-generation stars in an effort to build up to someone like Roman Reigns, then Brooke Jensen would be an easy star to target for The All Mighty.
#2. Bron Breakker - Son of former WWE Tag Team Champion Rick Steiner
Bron Breakker has been seen as the next big thing in WWE since his debut in NXT. Despite it being a well-known fact that he is the son of Rick Steiner, WWE has decided to distance themselves from this fact. Many members of the WWE Universe have noted that Bron should have taken on the family name, but it appears that the company is attempting to keep this fact off TV.
Breakker is also the nephew of Scott Steiner, so it’s clear that wrestling is in his blood. Whilst it’s probably not the best idea for Bobby Lashley to target Breakker at present since he is still building himself as a star in WWE, he could be one of the stars that crosses paths with The All Mighty down the line.
If this is Lashley’s new story then it’s clear that he will continue to go through stars until someone like Bronn steps in his way. Breaker vs Lashley could easily be considered a main event level match and could even headline an upcoming NXT pay-per-view if needed.
#3/2/1- Solo Sikoa, Jimmy and Jey Uso - sons of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi
WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi has inspired all of his sons to follow in his footsteps. One of the company’s most recent signings is his youngest son.
Solo Sikoa is the younger brother of Jimmy and Jey Uso and could be the weak link in the family chain if the company is looking for Bobby Lashley to send a message to Roman Reigns.
Roman Reigns would be the perfect final hurdle in this kind of storyline and if The Hurt Business were looking to attract the attention of The Bloodline then why not attack Sikoa on NXT.
As of yet, it hasn’t been revealed that he has links to the family business and has made it clear that he is flying solo. That being said, it could take a common enemy to help all of The Uso brothers to get onto the same page.
It could also be that Lashley targets The Usos instead since they are the most direct route to Roman Reigns, depending on how much of a message The All Mighty is looking to send.
