Recently, Google released a new application know as Google Tasks which almost replaced Google Keep. But agree or not there are still a handful of features which makes Google Keep our first choice of to-do application.
Here are a few fascinating things to try on Google Keep to make the most of this application.
Record Voice Notes
Feeling too lazy to type? Well, you can record voice notes as well on Google Keep. Launch the Google Keep app on your Android or iOS phone and then tap the microphone icon on the bottom right corner of screen. Do all the talking and record anything which you want Google Keep to remember. Your audio file will be automatically saved in the application. As Google Keep can be synced across your devices, you can also access it on your desktop or any other Smartphone which you use.
Take Picture Notes
Remembering a picture is easier than remembering a piece of text, isn’t it? With Google Keep’s Optical Character Recognition you can transcribe text from pictures. Say if you’re in a meeting and you have to grab whatever is there on white board, simply click a picture and Google Keep will automatically transcribe the text and save it as a note.
Search Handwritten Notes
As we’re all aware you can create sketches or jot down hand written notes on Google Keep, the app also makes searching notes process an easy job. To create a handwritten note, tap the pencil at the bottom and select from a bunch of options. Draw or write anything you want to while you play with colors and shades. Google Keep also allows you to search within handwritten notes, say you can search for any particular word that appears on that image, and the image will appear right away on the screen.
Use Chrome Extension
One of the amazing things to do with Google Keep is to download its Chrome extension. This Google Keep extension allows you to save any webpage, or quote which you find interesting while surfing on web. You can have all the thing you love synced across all your devices for easy access. If you visit a certain web page again, Google Keep will display you note in context so that you can easily jot down or save whatever you want.
Share Notes on Other Apps
Google Keep also allows you to share your notes to other applications. Suppose you wrote a quote and wish to share it on social media then tap the three dot icon on bottom right corner, and tap on “Send”, and then pick the app where you want to share your note.
Color Splash Your Notes
Boost your creativity to color code and label your notes to make them appear as beautiful as possible. Write anything and tap the three dot icon in menu to color splash a note. If you’re making a report or project you can use color coding to separate headings from body text or so.
Set Reminders
Setting reminders can help you to remember important things. Select a note and click the finger icon at the top right of your screen in Keep. You will now see a bunch of options on the screen to set a reminder. Follow the on-screen instructions, set a reminder, so that you never miss a thing.
