Sony Interactive Entertainment President Jim Ryan has made it clear that their goal is to reach more players beyond those based only on PlayStation platforms, and this has given fans hope for a chance to experience what their first-party studios have to offer.

7 Roronoa Zoro Skin

Fans who may have played Ghost Of Tsushima on PS4 or PS5 in the Japanese dub will be aware that the voice actor of Jin Sakai is indeed the voice of the iconic Kazuya Nakai who plays Roronoa Zoro in One Piece. Not only does this link in the aspect of voice acting, but considering the similarities in the context of Samurai as Zoro’s lineage is one more connected to Wano Country, which is based on Japan.

Despite there not being many options in terms of skins from current games Zoro is present within for modders to choose from, it would be an ideal mod for fans of the popular Manga and anime, whilst being the full-set Zoro mod many fans have been waiting to see in games applicable.

6 Enma Sword Kit

Whilst on the topic of samurai and One Piece, the addition of the sword “Enma” would be a preferable addition for fans, adding to the plethora of options players already have in the game. This would be amongst the collection of swords from other stories whether it be film, anime, or games that players can almost certainly see implemented when possible.

For new players, this could potentially add to what the base game offers and heighten their experiences even more so. If Sucker Punch are able to make this title mod friendly, it would be highly beneficial for players who wish to adjust their play style, in the aspect of whether these will replace current sword kits or if they will increase the amount.

5 New Hairstyles

Despite the presence of customization for outfits, masks, and headwear, Ghost Of Tsushima does not contain any way for the player to adjust Jin Sakai’s hairstyle. This could ultimately come down to the design choices by Sucker Punch and the idea of staying lore specific.

In the potential release on PC, fans will be waiting to see if the game’s engine would enable modders to tweak such features within the game similar to what players are able to use in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with the help of NVIDIA Hairworks.

4 Multiplayer Skins/Outfits

Sucker Punch were the subject of high praise not only based on how well Ghost Of Tsushima’s campaign performed, but also due to their addition of a free multiplayer experience for owners of the game known as Ghost Of Tsushima: Legends. This contained a vast amount of outfits, skins, and classes players could choose unlockable through challenges.

Whilst it is not out of the question for this to be implemented by Sucker Punch themselves later down the line, players who have wished to use the outfits exclusive to multiplayer, would be pleased to see this available in the game’s campaign. This would add to serving the purpose of allowing players to tune and adjust their play style to their liking.

3 Additional Attack Animations From Enemies

One of the more prominent reasons as to why Ghost Of Tsushima is held up to its high praise, is its unique combat allowing players to use five different stances including the “Ghost” stance. Similar to what modders have done with Sloclap’s Sifu introducing different movesets, allowing the player to emulate some of the moves enemies use against Jin would be a fun addition.

Whilst fans await confirmation or any reveal regarding a potential sequel, this would be the perfect mod to keep players engaged, as it would open up new and more exciting duels with enemies ultimately offering a new gameplay experience.

2 Soundtrack Import

Many fans familiar with the game’s soundtrack will be aware of how suitable it is to combat scenarios and cutscenes. With Insomniac Games’ recent PC port of Spider-Man, modders have found a way to use other soundtracks in traversal. Beside there currently being no confirmation of Ghost Of Tsushima coming to PC, this would be heavily dependent on game files and whether they are mod compatible.

Adding such a feature would result in many using soundtracks suitable to their needs, possibly going hand in hand with skin and outfit mods. Whilst the OST for the title is critically acclaimed, the option to add to this could favor accessibility.

1 More Consistent Finishers

In the midst of stealth or activating the Ghost stance, the player is able to neutralize enemies with specific finishers and executions. Whether this is while enemies fall to the ground in fear, enemies crawling in pain, or sneaking up on Mongol leaders for a decapitation, players have a variety of play styles to choose from.

As a potential sequel may expand upon finishers and play styles, a mod that enables certain moves to happen more occasionally would once again refine gameplay to players’ needs.

Ghost Of Tsushima is available on PS4 and PS5.
