#7 Anthem
To be completely honest, I was really conflicted when I decided to include Anthem in this list. Yes, it’s by BioWare. Yes, EA really need a win and this is one of their big releases of 2019.
However, it’s supposed to be a single-player only experience in the hub while the world outside it is populated with other players. There are still big questions about how this will work.
The game does look very good but at this point I’m not quite sure how good the combat system and gameplay will be. The gameplay also looks a little repetitive, to be honest. And, it’s EA.
#6 Resident Evil 2 remake
The Resident Evil 2 remake looks incredible. As someone who never owned a PS2 back in the day, I’m so excited to try this. However, I get scared pretty easy so I don’t know how far I’ll be able to get through this before I get too terrified to go on - because this game looks scary, really scary. And, it’s a full remake done in the style of Resident Evil 4.
#5 Far Cry: New Dawn
Far Cry: New Dawn was a surprise announcement that came at the Game Awards. It takes place in the world of Montana from Far Cry 5 but 17 years on from the nuclear ending of Far Cry 5.
As a huge Far Cry fan, I’m definitely going to sink my teeth into this while I wait for Far Cry 6.

#4 Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Although I was never a fan of the Souls series or Bloodborne, I’m looking forward to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Miyazaki’s follow-up to Bloodborne is set in feudal Japan and the combat system looks incredible. Add to that the mechanical arm which can have different attachments and we’re sold that this will be amazing.
The game will definitely be difficult as hell but I’m ready to slog through this one. The only red flag about this one is that Activision is the publisher.
#3 Devil May Cry 5
Capcom had a great 2018 and are finally giving Devil May Cry fans the follow-up to DMC 4 that we wanted. The game looks incredible if the debut trailer is anything to go by and both Nero and Dante are playable characters in this one. If you own an Xbox One, you can check out the demo right now.

#2 Doom Eternal
Bethesda need a win in 2019 after the debacle that was Fallout 76 and Doom: Eternal could be that game. 2016’s Doom came as a surprise, a brilliant gory surprise to all Doom fans out there including myself.
Doom: Eternal looks even better than Doom and will feature “Hell on Earth”. Id have promised that our beloved Shotguns will feel better than ever and now we can shoot parts off Demons. Sounds amazing.
#1 Kingdom Hearts III
For longtime Kingdom Hearts fans, the word that came to mind when Kingdom Hearts III finally got announced was “finally”. Yes, Kingdom Hearts III is finally almost here.
The story finally ends with Kingdom Hearts III and it’s about time. Sora will be joined by Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Goody and a ton of other Disney characters as he finishes his quest to defeat Master Xehanort’s plan and the “Key to Return Hearts”.
