In this article, we decided to look over and analyze a few WWE Superstars who we think currently need to add a new finishing move to their repertoire ahead of Mania season.
Before we get to the article, I just want to point out that in the Superstars mentioned can just add another finishing move to their move set instead of retiring their current finisher.

#7. Tamina - Superkick
The first WWE Superstar on our list is Tamina. Her current finisher is the Superkick, a move which has lost some impact over the years because of the number of Superstars using it as a signature instead of using it to finish moves.
But that’s not the only reason Tamina needs a new finisher. Her superkick has no impact. She’s been recently being pushed as a powerhouse on RAW alongside Nia Jax. Someone of Tamina’s size needs a move that she can use to show off her strength.
#6. Dolph Ziggler - Zig Zag
Dolph Ziggler future in WWE looks to be in doubt currently as he’s taken time off to focus on his comedy career. Ziggler recently posted the following dates for his comedy tour on Twitter:
We don’t yet know what Dolph Ziggler plans as far his in-ring career is concerned. If he does return to the WWE, I think that Dolph Ziggler needs a new finisher. The Zig Zag is a decent finisher but we’ve seen it for years and so many Superstars have kicked out of it.
I’ll also add that a wrestler as talented as Ziggler can do something with a lot more oomph and impact.
#5. Rusev - Machka Kick
Rusev just can’t catch a break. I don’t know why WWE doesn’t believe in him. He has everything - speed, power and technical ability. He’s also great on the mic. There’s no doubt that Rusev could be a top guy if WWE gave him a consistent run.
In lieu of that, let’s discuss the Machka Kick. I think that Rusev needs to make that a signature and get himself another finisher alongside the Accolade. He’s a powerhouse and can do something much more impactful instead like a Razor’s Edge or a Jackhammer.
#4. Bayley - Bayley To Belly
Bayley is one of the most talented women on the WWE roster but she also has one of the worst finishers in WWE. The Bayley-To-Bayley just doesn’t cut it. It doesn’t finish matches with the definitive feeling you’d expect from a finisher?
What could Bayley replace it with? To be honest, I’d even prefer her hitting a Fisherman Suplex rather than the Belly-To-Belly but I’m sure WWE can give her something that fits her a lot better.
#3. Finn Balor
Now before the pitchforks come out, let me explain myself. I don’t want Finn Balor to stop using the Coup de Grace. I think he needs to add another finisher to his arsenal, something he can hit at a moments notice.
I know Balor has the 1916 but he never used it on the main roster and something he could hit out of nowhere would be better for his style of wrestling as well.
#2. Dean Ambrose - Dirty Deeds
We still don’t know what the future holds for Dean Ambrose. He has reportedly refused another contract offer from WWE recently and still looks set to leave WWE after WrestleMania career.
One thing I firmly believe regarding his WWE career is that he’s been held back a bit because of his finisher, the current version of the Dirty Deed. It ends matches with zero impact. The original double underhook version was a lot better but I think it’s time for Ambrose to find a new finisher altogether.
#1. Kofi Kingston
Kofi Kingston looked all set to face WWE Champion Daniel Bryan at WWE Fastlane after an incredible performance at WWE Elimination Chamber. However, Vince McMahon himself came out on SmackDown to replace Kofi in one of the biggest singles matches in his career with Kevin Owens.

However, I think we all know the real reason why this was done. It was so Kofi could go on to face Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania for the WWE Championship and it definitely looks like Kofi could win the big one on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
If that does happen, one thing Kofi Kingston needs to definitely do is to find a new finisher. The Trouble In Paradise doesn’t look like a move that has the impact to end a world title match. It can still be used as his signature, replacing the SOS.
